What touches me most are the stories and experiences of the families I get to accompany. It’s a true honor to be part of those first days and to create newborn photos that will last a lifetime. That’s why it meant so much to visit this sweet family in Herrsching on Lake Ammersee and photograph them in their beautiful home.
Their little one was absolutely impossible not to fall in love with. And their “big brother” dog showed his best side, too. Is There a “Right” Time for Newborn Photos?
In real life, there’s a window that tends to work especially well: when you’ve settled in at home just a little, but your baby still has that classic newborn softness. That’s when you capture the details that become priceless later: tiny feet that fit in your hand, little fingers that instinctively hold on, and those delicate facial features that change so quickly.
And most importantly: there is no “perfect” week you have to force. Sometimes you need space after birth. Sometimes the beginning looks different than expected. And sometimes you feel ready after just a few days. We follow your lead, and your baby’s. If earlier feels right, perfect. If you’d rather wait a few more days, that’s just as good.
And if you’re hoping for bright, open eyes and a bit more interaction, a slightly later session can be beautiful, too. But if you want your home to be part of your images, or if it simply feels like the most relaxed option right now, we can also photograph you at home, just like we did with this family in Herrsching.
